Buzzard Roost Saddles originated in the swamps of South Louisiana, where the need for a better way to navigate and hunt from an elevated position became clear. With limited production saddles available and a reluctance to spend, I set out to create my own solution. After conducting research and gathering materials, I fashioned a "scrappy" saddle using a sit-drag and paracord. The experience was exhilarating! While my family and friends initially teased me, they soon came to appreciate the innovation. I began crafting saddles and gear for them, and with the encouragment of my wife and family, i decided to pursue this passion further.

Now based in St. Amant, Louisiana, Buzzard Roost Saddles is dedicated to serving the "scrappy" hunters - those who venture where others hesitate. Whether you are navigating rugged mountains or pushing a pirogue through muddy swamps, Buzzard Roost is here for you. We ain't fancy.
